We arrived in the UK at 6am on a cold December 20th and drove straight down to Bath to stay with Olive, Polly’s Mum. All three of us traveled up to Horley to spend Christmas with Ben and Emily and Richard, who had arrived from Salford. On Boxing Day we left the Bells and drove to Great Bookham to stay with Deirdre, Harry and Michael. The next day we crossed the Channel in the Tunnel for lunch in Calais – very posh! Our last weekend was spent with Julian and Liz in Broomfield (Chelmsford) and included a visit to the Royal Horticultural Society’s Hyde Hall.
